Job Summary


Essential Functions

  • Encourages and expects Operations personnel to practice safe work habits and optimize their productivity and equipment. Assure personnel employ safe work methods and that personal protective equipment is used.
  • Maximizes the reliability of the generation assets through coordination of Maintenance and Planning departments and dispatching for prioritization of unit and generating system requirements.
  • Handle disputes, research and conducts grievance hearings, interpret & apply company / union contract.
  • Provides coordination, facilitation and direction in support of the day-to-day activities of the station.
  • Encourage teamwork, participation and individual accountability to achieve high expectations.
  • Document/evaluate employee performance, perform overtime administration & time keeping requirements and enforce company policies.
  • Control Budgetary expenditures set by senior management Collaborate to create/write Operations/Maintenance procedures.

Required Qualifications For Position

  • Bachelor's Degree or heavy industrial equivalent experience
  • Strong business sense of the current economic environment and the desire/dedication to be competitive.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills to communicate openly, clearly and frequently.
  • Must be able to work a work a 12 hour shift rotation.

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

  • Combined cycle power generation experience
  • Prior supervision experience.
  • Previous electric generation experience.

Salary Range:

$93,800.00 - $140,700.00
