Job Title:  Chief Dam Safety Coordinator

Job Code:   106020

Summary 

Direct and manage the operational and administrative responsibilities associated with the FERC Dam Safety and License requirements. This includes the drafting and filing of numerous reports, plans and other documents required in association with the environmental, recreation, operational, public and structural safety aspects of the facilities. This position will require continual interface with various federal, state and local agencies as well as numerous corporate support departments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

This position requires a thorough knowledge of the operation and maintenance of the hydro facilities as well as the permit limits and requirements. This position is a 24/7 resource to the operations & maintenance personnel, and serves as the relief for the Operation & Maintenance Supervisor for absences. This includes the management of bargaining unit personnel and administration of the labor agreement. Seasonal flooding will require shift work to support in manning the Emergency Operations Center.

This position also serves as the site liaison between engineering consultants and project management group for large capital projects, and requires individual project management of smaller projects.

Creation and management of the budgets and schedules associated with the activities above is an integral responsibility of this position.

Required Qualifications for Position

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field.
  • 5+ years work experience in a process or industrial environment with exposure to legal/regulatory oversight.

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with a technical minor, or equivalent experience required.

Salary Range:

$107,000.00 - $160,500.00
