Sr Data Quality Analyst
Full Time
Way of Work: Remote
Salary: $77,400 - $116,200 plus annual bonus
The Sr Data Quality Analyst drives the strategy development for data improvements, including changes to how data is collected, stored, and used across NiSource. As a key member of our data quality management group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data assets. If you’re passionate about data quality, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, this role is perfect for you.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Monitor data quality dashboards and provide actionable insights to data consumers for any quality concerns. Collaborate with stakeholders to address quality gaps promptly.
Regularly review data quality checks for both in-transit and at-rest data within the data lake. Ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Act as a subject matter expert for our data lake data assets. Understand the intricacies of data assets, their lineage, and their impact on business processes.
Provide necessary support to the Lead Data Quality Analyst.
Investigate data quality issues, within the data lake, flagged by the enterprise data quality tool and perform preliminary triage to identify the root causes.
Assess the impact of data quality issues on downstream processes and engage and collaborate with relevant teams to address issues promptly.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience with data analysis including manipulating large data sets, building visualizations, performing data integration, or similar duties
3+ years of experience with databases and database structures including the ability to articulate data concepts between business-focused, functional, and technical data users
1+ years of experience in direct data quality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using data analysis tools and techniques
Experience in the roll-out and adoption of governance tools such as Alation, Collibra, Informatica, Microsoft Purview or similar
Experience working in a company with strong data governance
Proficient in MS Suite applications
