Lead IT Systems Analyst - JIRA Administrator
Full Time Perm
Salary: $107,000 - $160,500
Location: Remote
The Lead IT Systems Analyst, reporting to Manager Delivery Methods & Practices within the Agile Delivery Enablement (ADE) department, will participate as an Atlassian technical subject matter expert within the quality engineering center for enablement (QE C4E).
This role requires expertise in JIRA capabilities to define and configure enterprise standards for workflows, advanced roadmaps, issue type hierarchy, dashboards, and role-based security. This role is responsible for providing input into and executing on a strategy to advance the utilization and adoption of JIRA and the integrated test automation framework throughout the NiSource delivery organization. This will require strong coordination and communication with IT delivery teams following the NiSource delivery frameworks (agile, waterfall, and iterative), business partners and IT delivery partners and service providers. The Lead IT Systems Analyst will have duties related to creation of operational documentation and playbooks and have coaching and training duties for both QE C4E junior staff and the NiSource JIRA user community.
The Lead IT Systems Analyst - JIRA Administrator, although an Atlassian specialist, should also have a demonstrated ability to learn and stay current with adjacent software engineering tools and capabilities – examples include but are not limited to: CI/CD pipelines, test automation, test data management, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Partner with vendors to ensure timely resolution of systems issues, or escalate as appropriate
Enable delivery and product team use of the QE C4E tool set by guiding and supporting the creation and use of JIRA projects, dashboards and advanced roadmaps
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Provide second tier risk mitigation through governance and quality reviews and fulfill requests as needed to support third tier risk mitigation (ex. internal audit and compliance)
Identify LEAN opportunities and drive measurable continuous improvement
Support Service Provider and internal team achievement of Service Level Agreements
High/improving customer satisfaction scores (business partners and end users) – for example as measured through net promoter score (NPS)
Ensure systems documentation is kept up to date (application portfolio record, vendor SOC1 & SOC2, training materials and job aids etc.)
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
8+ years of experience in Atlassian IT systems level support such as service ownership (ITIL methodologies) or similar job duties
8+ years of experience in the application technology domain such as hosting, information management, networking, SAAS solutions (Salesforce, SAP, etc.)
3+ years of experience with leading, supervising, training, or peer development
Preferred Qualifications
Agile certifications and experience working with agile teams
Experience working with distributed teams – multiple US time zones and off-shore
ITIL certification
Experience with any of the following: Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, Power BI
Experience with CI/CD, test automation, test data management, and performance testing practices and platforms (GitHub Enterprise and Tricentis products)
