Job Title: 2024 Summer Account Management Intern

NiSource Internship Program Introduction 

The 12-week NiSource Internship program starting May 20th, is a multi-faceted development experience that provides our interns with challenging and meaningful work that impacts the communities we serve. As a NiSource intern, you will have the opportunity to learn from senior leadership and build professional relationships with employees across our company. The NiSource Internship program also incorporates workshops to learn about NiSource, the energy industry and infuses learning and development opportunities that sharpen your professional skills. The robust program will aid in building the fundamentals needed to enter the energy workforce upon graduation.

Job Summary

The position is responsible for supporting the Large Customer Relations Team and the Major Account Managers with their assigned account base of CVA’s largest customers, economic development initiative and its decarbonization pathways. This position follows a hybrid schedule working in-office and remote.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

·  Collaborate with other NiSource departments to ensure the safe, timely delivery of energy to our Customers

·  Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers

·  Assist with the managing all facets of the business relationship to ensure a high-level of customer satisfaction

·  Develop an understanding of customers business, their products, processes and markets they serve

·  Support evaluation of growth projects with an understanding of cash flow, return on investment, and tariff requirements

· Support the coordination and management of economic development growth projects with other departments

·  Conduct feasibility studies for competitive energy supplies and other alternative energy sources

·  Mitigate financial exposure to Company by identifying and monitoring at risk customers and by developing and implementing plans for managing such risk

·  Support forecast assigned Customers revenue/margin and usage to support our financial plan

·  Maintain individual customer profiles

·  Assist LCR to achieve annual financial goals; Collaborate and implement plans to retain as well as grow business levels

·  Support LCR team on regulatory and other stakeholder initiatives

·  Demonstrate knowledge of our company, the energy industry, as well as applicable rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
