** The work location for this position is flexible between the Three Rivers / Portsmouth operating territory. Some travel is expected throughout the territory to support the operations in this territory. **

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and provide technical guidance for the Corrosion Control program for assigned field locations. 
  • Involves reviewing technical data and information from plant and service activities to ensure that cathodic protection systems remain effective
  • Designing cathodic protection systems and directing company employees and/or contract crews in their installations
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and repairing existing cathodic protection systems
  • Evaluating the economic feasibility of protecting unprotected piping systems
  • Troubleshooting and ensuring the repair of all types of cathodic protection devices
  • Ensuring that facility data base is maintained through WMS and reviewing WMS corrosion reports and verifying accuracy
  • Administer the assigned field location(s) corrosion control Capital and O&M budgets
  • Training personnel in various aspects of corrosion functions.

Required Qualifications for Position

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Requires two (2) years operations experience or equivalent technical experience. 
  • Requires knowledge of COH corrosion policies/procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Requires strong organizational/planning skills and a commitment to getting the job done.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to establish rapport with internal and external customers.
  • Requires strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical data with respect to inventory maps.
  • Requires electrical and mechanical aptitudes in order to maintain corrosion equipment.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to complete required documentation.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines and changing priorities and conditions.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in decision-making and problem solving.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate company vehicles.

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

  • Two-year technical degree
  • Three (3) years of plant field experience
  • Working knowledge of Work Management System (WMS), CMS, and DIS mainframe programs
