Identity Access Management Specialist
Full Time Perm
Shift: Hybrid 2 days onsite & 3 days remote
Location: Hammond, IN
The Applications group within Operations Technology Department supports Electric Operations within NIPSCO, a Public Utility in Northern Indiana. The Applications group supports a number of applications that range from IAM to back end energy accounting applications using proprietary and custom applications.
The Application Specialist is responsible for performing on-going maintenance and enhancements to applications, utilizing applications and change-management methodology, and architectural standards.
The position will complete and maintain overall application documentation including application design, functionality, architecture, and day-to-day application changes. The Applications Specialist will also formulate and define system scope and objectives for assigned projects, by working with end-users to understand business requirements.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements.
Prepares users by conducting training; providing information; resolving problems.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
Evaluate all software changes and updates that are supplied by vendors, before installation.
Participate and support change-management process as required.
Provide end-user support for applications.
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience in applications maintenance such as IAM, PAM, Linux administration or similar experience
General understanding of application maintenance, development, and change management methodologies
Proficient in the use of command line and GUI interfaces for personal computers
