IT Portfolio Manager - SAP
Full Time Perm
Shift: Hybrid – 2 days onsite 3 days remote
Location: Columbus, OH
The NiSource Work Asset Management program consists of three projects- Work Management, Mobile Workforce, and Mobile Mapping. The Work Management Project (SAP) has four sub-teams- Core Work Management, Asset Management, Supply Chain/Materials, and Accounting. This position is to fill the Portfolio Manager - Work Management position which serves as the delivery lead for the Work Management Project. Each Sub team has a Product Owner, Iterative lead/Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Business SME, and Developers. Horizontal teams spanning multiple projects include Business Transformation, Data, Employee Experience, Integration, Technical Architecture and Testing.
The IT Portfolio Manager - SAP will be responsible for managing highly complex or enterprise-wide IT programs consisting of multiple projects or large transformational projects that span multiple organizations. You will work across IT towers and with business partners to develop an overall program strategy for a portfolio of work along with the project planning and resourcing needed for execution. Overall the IT Portfolio Manager - SAP is responsible for delivering all projects and enhancements within their portfolio on time and on budget while meeting the strategic and business requirements of the organization.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Plans and manages a portfolio of multi-million dollar IT programs that are comprised of highly visible, high-profile projects that span the organization and have significant enterprise impact
Develops overall program strategy to ensure proper sequencing and integration of large/complex projects within the portfolio and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as necessary, based upon the needs of the business
Communicates with IT leadership and senior business leadership to review program strategy, direction and changes
Experienced quantifying impacts of risks and issues to scope, schedule, budget and prioritizing and driving resolution
Continually evaluates and maintains efficiency in managing the portfolio of programs through planning, scheduling and budget assessment
Manages a team of multiple project managers and project resources for the execution of programs/projects
Monitors, measures and reports on program status to IT leadership and senior business leadership
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
10+ years of enterprise-wide IT Program management experience with deep knowledge of waterfall, agile, hybrid, and SDLC methodologies and tools
Experience managing programs $5M – $10M+ that span multiple years and consist of a combination of internal and external and labor and non-labor cost components
5+ years of experience with project cost management, budget forecasting, and resource capacity planning
3+ years of experience implementing change management approaches to support programs
Preferred Qualifications
PMP Certification and ITIL experience preferred
Proven ability to engage and develop relationships with executive sponsors and key stakeholders with clarity and precision
Coaching and development of team members preferred
SAP Work and Asset Management implementation experience preferred
