Day to day, I handle a variety of HR responsibilities — interpreting a procedure or policy, managing HR projects, or addressing employee-relations issues. I’m also involved in the entire posting, screening and interviewing process. Sometimes, I attend job fairs and help recruit candidates. I enjoy helping a manager fill a vacancy — finding someone qualified and getting to see that person grow personally and professionally. Knowing that I helped bring them on board gives me a sense of pride. I enjoy the variety that comes with the position. Each day, something new comes up.

Teamwork and diversity
Here, we all work together and leverage each other’s strengths. For example, since I’m fairly new to my position, I sometimes go to team members with questions, which helps me to learn and grow. And, although we’re a diverse culture, we all share a feeling of pride in what we do — providing gas and electricity for more than 400,000 customers. Teamwork is really the key to successfully working with customers, coordinating tasks, and offering fresh perspectives to management.
