NiSource Designated "High Performer" in Employee Engagement

For the past six years, NiSource employees have shared their opinions about their workplace through an annual employee engagement survey conducted by TNS Employee Insights, a national leader in employee research and consulting. The confidential survey gathers employee feedback through a series of questions focusing on development and growth, involvement and commitment, communication and coaching, recognition and reward and execution and results. Results are then analyzed and used to understand and identify areas for improvement and drive change throughout the company.

For the second year, NiSource has been designated a “high performer” by TNS Employee Insights. In making the announcement, TNS noted that NiSource's employee engagement survey results reflect greater favorability and improvement as compared with the average organization in many workforce related issues. In fact, NiSource saw an increase in its overall favorability category by three percentage points and noted a meaningful difference of four percentage points or more in areas of job recognition, company pride and personal growth and value.

There is strong evidence of a link between engaged employees and organization performance, and research shows that engaged employees are more willing to take on new challenges, improve processes and provide higher levels of customer satisfaction. Having a strong foundation of engaged, aligned, safe and diverse employees is key to creating long-term value for customers, shareholders and employees.
